Project Description
These works involved the construction of a 13.80MW wind farm extension on a sloped mountain top site in West Cork. Works included the provision of 3,000 km of trenching for ESB ducts including temporary and permanent reinstatement of roads, the provision of 15,000 m3 of hardcore for roads to turbines, the provision of 2,500m of surface water drainage from roads, carry out all necessary works associated with Martrain route survey including road widening, tree surgery, street furniture removal and co-ordination of Electrical Works and Turbine Supply Contracts. Construction works included the installation of 6 nr. Enercon E70 wind turbines including provision of in-situ bases, steel fixing, concrete pouring and finishing and adjustment of existing substation where works included adjustment to the existing substation to allow for a new switching station and upgrading of controls.
