Project Description
Murnane & O’Shea won the contract for a design, build and operation for a 30mw windfarm in West Cork. Works included the provision of 18 km of trenching for ESB ducts including temporary and permanent reinstatement of roads, the provision of 50,000m3 of hardcore for roads to turbines, the provision of 2,500m of surface water drainage from road, the provision of 1500m of watermain, widening of the existing public carriageway for 2km including complete resurfacing works and provision of new drainage and the construction of a new ESB substation and switch room.
