New Residential Built has commenced at NorthWest Quarter Regeneration

We have commenced works at the North West Quarter Regeneration Phase 2A at Knocknaheeney, Cork. Construction for this project will include 47 no. housing units consisting of 11 nr. 3 storey houses, 21 nr. 2 storey houses, 15 nr. apartments and associated site works. A look to the future of the finished product.

Industrial Project of the Year 2018 Winner – Pilz Ireland

New SuperValu Store Complete

Works have completed at O’Keeffe’s New SuperValu Store in Bantry whose doors on 30 November 2017.  This project involved the construction of a two storey retail outlet with ancillary offices and car park (with 65 spaces) overhead.  The ground floor encompasses an area of 3,300 square meters accommodating the supermarket, delivery area and storage facilities.  The structure comprises of a steel frame with a block infill.

Enable Ireland’s New Respite Facility & Children’s Services Building to commence

We are delighted to have been awarded the contract for the new Enable Ireland’s Respite Facility & Children’s Services Building. Cork-based Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney has confirmed that €2m of Government funding will go to Enable Ireland’s new state-of-the-art Children’s Services Centre in Cork.  The seven acre site will house a new Children’s Services Building, where therapy and support services will be provided to children with disabilities and their families.The €2m boost will contribute to the development of the facility, which includes a hydrotherapy pool, playground, therapy and sensory rooms to accommodate the needs of the current and future children with disabilities.

Ministerial Visit at An Faill, Cul Ard, Carrigtwohill

The Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government Mr. Eoghan Murphy TD visited at An Faill, Cul Ard, Carrigtwohill on 29 September 2017. An Faill consists of 29 houses with a mixture of three bedroom semi-detached and 2 and 3 bedroom terraced properties. This scheme was approved by the Department in June 2016 with construction commencing in August 2016. Speaking at the visit, Minister Murphy highlighted how turnkey housing is working, “An Faill is a key example of how turnkey housing can expedite the delivery of social housing in areas of high demand while also stimulating the local construction market’.

Bandon Community Hospital

 

 

The Bandon Community Hospital project was managed in two phases.  Phase 1 involved the demolition of part of the south east wing and adjoining annex to the rear of the hospital, together with sections of the old boundary walls and construction of a new 25 bed care module with assisted ensuites (13,000 sq ft), associated support and service facilities including a switch room and boiler room. Works were completed with landscaping including the upgrading and extensions of the existing car parking facilities plus the upgrading of existing drainage to facilitate the separation of surface and foul water prior to discharge from site. Phase 2 of the works included the conversion of existing ward area to ancillary and lounge day room accommodation together with the re-modelling of the main entrance area to include a new external canopy.

 

 

 

Works to University Hospital Kerry complete

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd have completed works on behalf of the Health Service Executive to Kerry General Hospital.  The works included the refurbishment and fit out of the surgical theatres were works were mainly carried out at night and at weekends to strict project programmes so as to allow for theatres to continue to operate on a day to day basis and all surgeries to continue as planned.
