Works commenced at St. Finbarr’s Hospital, Cork

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd are delighted to announce the commencement of works at St. Finbarr’s Hospital Cork.  These works are to include various demolitions, alterations, refurbishment and modifications to mechanical and electrical services in the Orthodontic Department.

Works progressing at the Ardu Facility, a special needs facility for CoAction

This new €2.1 million purpose built development facility is for both children and adults with special needs and will provide custom built accommodation for the West Cork Child Development Service and CoAction Adult Supports.  Works are progressing well on this site which was quite restricted for access and required deep excavation works adjacent to existing buildings.  Works completed to date include paving, preparation for tarmac, second fix mechanical and electrical works, second fix carpentry, specialist joinery has been fitted and lifts have been installed.

Works commence at Gaelscoil Uí Ríordáin, Ballincollig, Cork

Works have commenced on behalf of the Board of Management at Gaelscoil Uí Ríordáin on the construction of new sports playing pitches.  This project will include site preparation, excavation, grading, soil disposal, prepare and lay astroturf on the playing pitches.  Other works include the construction of masonry boundary walls, fencing, lighting, lining and signage.  

Office Fit Out at Phoenix House, Monahan Road, Cork

Fit out works have commenced at the offices at Phoenix House, Monahan Road.  These works involve a full fit-out to the fourth floor to include raised access floors, suspended ceilings, full mechanical and electrical fit out and external works to the existing facade.

Fit out works at the Tannery, Bandon, Co. Cork

 

The Tannery situated in Bandon, Co. Cork is a new development consisting of 24 Houses ranging from Two Bedroom Terraced Houses to Three Bedroom Semi-Detached Houses to 4 Bedroom Detached.  Through a private tender process, Murnane & O’Shea Ltd, were awarded this contract by Kavanagh Fennell, the Receivers to complete this unfinished housing estate and provide them with a full turnkey solution which included a complete fit out of each property and all associated site works.

Ballingeary GAA Clubhouse

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce the completion of the works at Ballingeary GAA Clubhouse. The works included a new Indoor Hurling Arena, Dressing Rooms and Shower Facilities, all at ground floor level. First floor level consisted of Meeting Rooms, Board Room, Canteen/Catering Facilities, and toilets.

One Off Housing 2011

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd. have completed a number of one off housing projects throughout the year of 2011. A selection of these houses completed over May, June & July include Ormonde House, Baltimore which incorporated a copper roof, The Clune McCarthy Houses which were offset over the shoreline in Baltimore and finished with stone and the Bushe House also in Baltimore with cedar cladding.

Works complete at the ARA Facility at Cork University Hospital

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce that works are now complete at the ARA Facility in CUH. This project involved the refurbishment of the existing ARA building located at Cork University Hospital. The building is located at the South East corner of the hospital adjacent to the entrance of the In Patients/A&E Department. The project involved constant communication and co-operation with the Cork University Hospital Maintenance Department to ensure the seamless isolation and re-connection of numerous utilities during the demolition and subsequent renovation of the ARA unit.

COPE Foundation Mayfield

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., have successfully completed the construction works at the new COPE Foundation building in Mayfield, Cork. COPE have provided an excellent residential and day care facility for children and adults with intellectual disability and this new facility enhances the work that COPE do through its systems of early intervention, schooling, training, adult day services , supported employment, housing, information and advice.
