Project Description
This project consisted of the construction of a one storey extension and extensive refurbishment works at the college for adult learning – Colaiste Stiofain Naofa. Construction Works were completed in a live college environment. Construction of a new ‘wrap-around’ extension to the existing college consisted of a new curved brick façade with concrete roofs and steel and block structure. All works were carried out during the school term and a large amount of co-ordination was necessary to ensure minimum disruption to both staff and students. All works were sequenced to avoid noisy activities during times when the college was in use and portions of the work was carried out after normal working hours to minimise inconvenience
